Thank you Bozeman Magpie for voting us "Best New Restaurant 2011"!!!!!! I've been lucky enough to eat at Chickpea thrice and every time have left very satisfied. I've yet to venture very deep into the menu because I like the Shawarma and Chicken Mishwi sandwiches so much. Splitting one of each with a friend is a delicious, diverse meal.

I'm a fan of the service. The staff are cool. The ambiance is great. If you can, get the stools by the big window which has a great view of the Bridgers and the downtown foot traffic.
In my experience Chickpea may be a better option for dinner than lunch because it's not quite so busy at dinner. You'll probably end up paying $10-$15/person, which seems a bit high (particularly for a sandwhich), until you realize you're getting actual, high quality, filling, delicious, fresh food.
Through the entire review I haven't managed to describe the food, which is because I don't have the vocabulary to properly categorize it. They describe themselves as Mediterranean, which I had previously, parochially thought of as hummus, falafel, and gyros. Suffice it to say, Chickpea Cafe is much more and more unique than that.
I dined there with my (not terribly adventurous and consequently skeptical) in-laws tonight. Afterward my very pleased father-in-law said that that was the best sandwich he's had in very long time. Please, do yourself a favor and give Chickpea a try.
